Amanda Z. Randall, PhD

Herzlich willkommen! I joined the St. Olaf College German faculty in Fall 2015 after completing my Ph.D. in Germanic Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. My research interests include intellectual history, history of social science, 19th-21st-century German literature and culture, ethnography, film studies and curriculum design. My teaching experience encompasses beginning through advanced college-level German language, history and society, war and postwar film, narratology, memory studies and cultural anthropology.
